Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2025

We would like to hear from anyone who lives in the UK who:

  • Has experienced, is experiencing, or suspects that they have an eating disorder. You do not need a formal diagnosis or to have received treatment to take part
  • Has personally supported someone with an eating disorder, or been concerned that a family member, friend or colleague may have an eating disorder
The anonymised results will help us raise awareness of eating disorders and challenge misconceptions. The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. However, please take as long as you need to respond to each answer. There are no right or wrong answers - we want to hear your experience.

Some of the questions ask you to reflect on your experiences of having or supporting someone with an eating disorder, which may be upsetting. Your wellbeing is our priority and you should only complete the survey if you feel comfortable and well enough to do so.

The survey will be open until Monday 6 January.

Data protection

By submitting answers to questions in this survey, you give consent for your data to be used in line with our privacy statement.

Direct quotes may be used by Beat with a pseudonym (made-up name), and we would only include quotes if they did not include any information that might identify you. If you would prefer for direct quotes not to be used, then there is an opportunity to opt-out of this before completing the survey.
